Straighten Up Body Alignment

Did you know that the misalignment of the Atlas vertebrae or C1 can be the hidden cause of many ailments such as back pain, shoulder pain, headaches, migraines, TMJ discomfort and many more?

Straighten Up is a non-invasive treatment that makes it possible to solve these uncomfortable conditions.

When the head, neck and body unite in the correct alignment, neural pathways passing from the brain and body have free and flowing passage to communicate. There is no manipulation, cracking or twisting involved! Gentle pulses are sent into the soft tissue surrounding the atlas vertebra by a specially crafted device.  Through specific sequencing, the soft tissue surrounding the atlas is loosened.  Once this has taken place and sufficient looseness is present, the atlas will naturally return to correct alignment having a domino effect on the spine.

To complete the treatment, a selection, or combination of the following therapies are applied: Bowen Therapy, Emmett Technique, Mcloughlin Scar Tissue Release.  Each treatment is customised to the needs of the client to assist the body to heal itself!

Emmett Technique

The Chameleon Approach To Body Therapy

The Emmett Technique is an understanding of the body's response to light touch. It has been suggested that the body reacts in a similar way to the workings of a touch screen. Small sensors allow access to the brain via the therapist's touch . As well as the ability to directly influence muscle action , these points may have a memory and emotional attachment.

Bowen Therapy

Everyone Is Better With Bowen

Developed by the late Tom Bowen in Geelong, Victoria.  Bowen Therapy is a gentle remedial technique that works on the soft connective tissue (fascia) on the body. The moves are gentle but purposeful, stimulating the body to heal itself. Bowen Therapy addresses the whole body by restoring balance via the autonomic nervous system.

Mcloughlin Scar Tissue Release

Is scar tissue holding you back?

Treatment of your scar is vital! According to research, if a scar is left untreated it may make other therapeutic interventions less effective or not last as long.  Even in instances where your scar is many years old, this may be the release your body has been searching for.

Scars can have a huge influence on our presenting problems. They may cause:

• restrictions in the fascia

• reduction in blood and lymph flow

• weaken muscular strength

• reduce the flow of energy

• inhibit joint movement

They may feel and look unpleasant and may even upset us emotionally if created by traumatic events.
